You may have noticed the Cinnamon Snail has not been on the street the past couple of weeks. That’s because they had serious mechanical problems with the truck.

We just heard from Adam Sobel, the Big Snail Kahuna, who tells us Snailly now has a brand new engine and transmission.

The good news is you will be able to get a Hulk Hogan Transvestite Fudgy Wudgy again starting tomorrow.

The bad news is it cost them a lot of donuts for a new engine and transmission.

We know you missed your Cinnamon Snail fix, and were going through withdrawal, just like we were.

Click through to see where the Cinnamon Snail will be over the next few days.

Street Eats: Lemongrass 5-Spice Seitan Sandwich & The Best-Named Dessert Ever!

January 11th, 2013

(credit: NYSF)

Whether you’re vegan or not, the Cinnamon Snail serves some of the best food in town, from a truck or otherwise. We used to be pretty closed-minded about vegan food, but Adam Sobel and his crew have opened our minds to just how good it can be.

Such quality doesn’t come without a price, both in time and money. Sandwiches are in the $8-9 range, awesome desserts are around $3, and lines are often 20-30 minutes at the lunch rush. We think lunch from Cinnamon Snail is worth it, and so do lots of other people, which accounts for the lines.

After exploring their burger selections in the past, we went for the Lemongrass 5-Spice Seitan Sandwich for $9.

It’s difficult to leave the truck without picking up dessert. Not only are the baked goods delicious, but they have hilarious names too. We got a Hulk Hogan Transvestite Fudgy Wudgy (that’s right!) for $3.

You Can Help Cinnamon Snail Serve Vegan Meals For Sandy Relief

November 5th, 2012

(credit: NYSF)

Everyone’s favorite vegan food truck, The Cinnamon Snail, is trying to raise funds to serve FREE vegan meals to those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

From their facebook: “Despite the midweek secondary storm we are expecting, we are planning at least two completely FREE meal services to areas without power this week. We will also be setting up a charging station for people’s phones and computers.

In order to fund it, (after having been forced to close our business for the past week), we will be setting up a Paypal account so that anyone who wants to support us being able to serve hot organic vegan food to those in need can donate to the cause. Please send PayPal donations to thecinnamonsnail@gmail.com

We are hoping to do one FREE meal service tomorrow and one on Friday. If there is enough funding we will try to do one on Saturday too.

We are open to suggestions on what neighborhoods needs us most. Be specific about locations that will help us provide the most relief and service. ♥”

Not only can you help get vegan meals to those affected by Sandy, you can even suggest where The Cinnamon Snail should go to do it. Sounds like an offer too good to refuse. Suggestions are being taken on their facebook and twitter accounts.
