I’M CUCKOO FOR COCO HELADO

If you happen to be on the Upper West Side of New York when its hot and sweltering, keep an eye out for one of the Coco Helado carts.  They have green and white umbrellas and interesting flavors such as tamarind, coconut, mango and cherry.   Helado is Spanish for ice cream, but this is more like ices than ice cream, and only costs $1.  Coco Helado is a great way to stay cool during the hot New York summer, and it’s supposed to hit 80 tomorrow.

There are currently carts located at Broadway and 96th St, 92nd St and Columbus, and 83rd St and Columbus, but don’t be surprised if you see more of them around during the warm weather, especially in Hispanic neighborhoods. [High/Low Food/Drink]
