Our old friend, Dan Delaney, has been making waves in the barbecue world. You may remember Dan from VendrTV, when he traveled around the world, bringing us the best in street food vendors.

We had a great time at VendrTV’s 1st Birthday Party a while back, but it turns out Dan’s true love is barbecue, and his new venture is BrisketLab. Click through for more details.

Dan’s goal is to bring super-focused, brilliantly executed Central Texas style ‘cue to New York City. To do this, he recently trekked to Austin, Texas to procure a massive 18’ smoker, plus a ton of post oak wood, and hauled both back to NYC.

In a year or two, his goal is to open a full restaurant focused on creating barbecue, cocktails, and music that honor the traditions, technique, and craft of the American South.

To get started on this journey, he launched Brisketlab, a recipe development series taking place during the summer of 2012. Brisketlab  sold a whopping 2,500 lbs of brisket in a mere 48 hours! This summer, there will be Brisketlab events, and they are open to catering opportunities.

You can get more information on Twitter or Facebook. Good luck Dan!
