NYC doesn’t have a lot of Night Markets. In the video above you can see the Queens International Night Market. However, yesterday we ran a contest to give away 2 tickets to the Asian Night Market this weekend, and now it’s time to announce the winner.
Even if you don’t win, you can still get tickets here to enjoy pork belly buns, jerk wings, baby back ribs, Asian hot dogs, Vietnamese summer rolls, snow pea shrimp dumplings and Taiwanese fried chicken, all while drinking Taiwan Beer.
There were a lot of good entries, but the winner of 2 tickets to the Asian Night Market is Dee. Not only is her writing descriptive and delicious, but she name-checked the Cravings Truck, which shows us she has been into NYC street food for a long time. NYC Cravings was the name of Bian Dang when they were 2009 Rookie of the Year Vendy Finalists. The truck’s name was changed to Bian Dang (Taiwanese for “lunch box”) in Spring 2011.
