Being a street vendor is a tough business, but it’s even tougher for vendors in the NYC Green Cart program.
They can only sell in specified “lower income” communities, can only store their carts in certain “approved” commissaries, and can incur significant fines for infractions like not using the right umbrella or being too close to the curb.
