We don’t get to the Tribeca Taco Truck too often, but when we do, it’s usually a great meal.
They generally park in Soho (not Tribeca) when they’re out. You can usually find them on weekends on Broadway around Spring Street.

I had an opportunity to stop by the Tribeca Taco Truck when I was in Soho recently. Where else would you expect to find the Tribeca Taco Truck?
I’ve never had a quesadilla from there, so it was simply question of which filling to get inside and which sauce to get on top. Percy the chef and co-owner suggested a Tribeca quesadilla, which was $6. I decided to top it with spicy mango sauce.
We saw a welcome tweet last week when the Tribeca Taco Truck reappeared on our Mobile Munchies twitter feed after being off the road for a while. In our opinion, Tribeca Taco Truck has some of the best sauces around – spicy mango, avocado crema and pineapple BBQ sauces are just a few of them.
Yesterday we caught up with them and got the latest news, which includes a significant increase in their street presence over the next month or so. That’s why they have been off the road for a while – preparation!
A few weeks ago, just before our trip to LA, we received an excited email from Nicole, a NYSF reader, who had just tried a new taco truck on Broadway in Soho that she loved. Nicole sent us a picture and enough descriptions for us to write a short NYSF First Look post about Tribeca Taco Truck based on her account.
Well, we didn’t have a chance to try the Tribeca Taco Truck until this weekend, but once we did, it was one of the best new taco trucks we’ve been to in quite some time. Thank you Nicole for the tip.
The Tribeca Taco Truck usually parks on Broadway around Spring Street, but can sometimes be a block north or south of Spring.
The Tribeca Taco Truck has a large selection of tacos, quesadillas and burritos (9 or 10 of each!), including less common fillings like nopales (grilled cactus) and chipotle marinated grilled tofu. They also have the expected fillings such as al pastor, chorizo, carne asada, etc. But there are a couple of other things that help Tribeca Taco Truck stand out besides the large menu.
A NYSF reader tipped us off to a taco truck that’s been seen around Soho lately – the Tribeca Taco Truck (natch). From the picture above, it looks like they were around a bit during the summer, but we didn’t cross their path.
Nicole V. ran across them last weekend and really loved their tacos, then breathlessly emailed us to find out more about this truck, including its name, which she didn’t catch – but she did get a picture of the taco.
