Wagyu beef is a type of Japanese beef prized for its incredibly high quality and tenderness. The name “Wagyu” comes from the Japanese words “wa” (meaning “Japanese”) and “gyu,” which means “cattle.” Wagyu is considered one of the world’s highest-quality types of beef. And it can be distinguished by its fine grain texture, marbling, and deep red color.

Because Wagyu cattle are raised exclusively for their meat, they have developed a much higher level of muscular definition than domestic cattle. This makes them extremely tender, flavorful, and juicy. In addition to producing delicious meat, Wagyu cattle have also been known to produce less fat than domestic cattle. Making them healthier alternatives to other types of beef that may contain more calories and fat than you would like.
