It was a Throwdown in Beantown, as 7 food trucks from NYC motored up to Boston to take on 7 Boston food trucks in the 1st Boston Food Truck Throwdown.
With 14 food trucks and 9 categories, there were plenty of accolades to go around, but in the final tally, NYC food trucks took home 5 of the titles, with Boston winning 4 of the categories.

The inaugural Food Truck Throwdown in Boston’s Dewey Square was sponsored by JetBlue, who presented the winners with round-trip tickets to anywhere Jetblue flies.

Best Asian – Bon Me Vietnamese Sandwiches (Boston)

Best Sandwich – Lobstah Love’s Maine lobster rolls (Boston)
Best Veggie – Wafels & Dinges (veggie?) (NYC)
Best Savory Item – Staff Meal’s pig’s head taco (Boston)
Best Seafood – Nuchas jambalaya empanada (NYC)
