Proud of their Home, The Real “Little Italy”

This isn’t just love between the cutest couple since Taylor and Travis. It’s much more…it’s about Family and community.

As I entered this charming real deal deli café I felt the love for their neighbors and pride in their home, The Bronx the real “Little Italy”.

Immediately the smells bring you home to a place you never want to leave.

Tino’s Deli is the Jewel of Arthur Avenue

Tino’s Deli was on 187th Street for over 50 years but has recently moved to a bigger and better location. The Paciullo’s renovated the old Belmont Community Center.

They have created an environment with great food, amazing service, warmth and love. This is still a community center.

Rosa and Giancarlo Paciullo are so dedicated to their family, customers and neighborhood I hope they are here for another 50 years.

Tino’s Deli is truly the “Jewel of Arthur Avenue.”

The Antipasto

Charcuterie – here it’s Antipasto.

Goat cheese stuffed peppers, the best mozzarella made daily, prosciutto de parma and bread from a local bakery.

Served with a lovely glass of red wine.

Monica, Rosa and Giancarlo’s daughter brought us her brother, Gianluca’s fresh pizza just out of the brick oven.

The Pizza and Rosa’s Speciality

Pizza Salernitana -Mozzarella, Tomato sauce, black olive paste, marinated artichokes, and Mortadella.

Then treated to Rosa’s specialty Eggplant Parm.

This did not disappoint. The breading was light and seasoned perfectly.

With her homemade marina a perfect sauce balancing the eggplant parm.

The family recipes are what bring in the neighborhood and keep them coming back for more.

We finished our meal with gelato from another local gelato shop and homemade tiramisu.

Heartwarming Stories of Family

Monica didn’t just bring us an amazing meal but heartwarming stories of her family.

Giancarlo is such a delight and is totally authentic.

Even keeping the original name “Tino’s”.

While importing Italian products that he believes in and proves his loyalty to these companies for years.

This is a family affair with their 2 daughters and son happily working with them.

I asked Monica how it has been working with family for so long.

Monica said it’s a great place, she talks to great people every day, but the best part is that she gets to be with her parents every day.

Even speaking with their staff who have been part of their “family” 15 years plus.

They can’t imagine being anywhere else.

I can’t either.
