SUMMERSTAGE TO BECOME A FOODIE PARADISE
You won’t have to leave Central Park this summer for some great food. The City Parks Foundation, which runs SummerStage, has engaged the Brooklyn Flea, the impresarios of weekend markets with handcrafted food, to provide food vendors for the 36 performances and films it will present this year.
So far they’re talking about Pizza Moto, The Red Hook Lobster Pound, Asia Dog, at least one of the Central American vendors from the Red Hook ball fields, and a portable restaurant from the people who operate Diner and Marlow & Sons. [NY Times]
Should be a vast improvement from the usual dirty water dogs and (hard) soft pretzels.
