BRINGING STREET FOOD INDOORS

MUMBAI

Khaugalli, Mumbai’s first fully air-conditioned indoor street food spread of over 10,000 sq ft, opened yesterday.   The décor recreates the magic of Mumbai’s local trains.  Khaugalli is a one stop street food eatery outlet with a wide variety and range of cuisines. Actor Ritesh Deshmukh officially inaugurated the festivities yesterday. [India Times]

What does Khaugalli mean?  Khau means treat, a food treat; and Galli means lane, or street. So Khau Galli means Treat Street, or Food Lane.
