There’s a lot happening on the artisanal food market front. So much that it’s hard to keep up with all the announcements.
Before we get into the expansion of Brooklyn Flea into 2 new locations outside of Brooklyn, and the new LIC Flea & Food Market, we want to remind you that Sunday is the 2nd installment of the Prospect Park Food Truck Rally.
DNAinfo reported that a food-focused outpost of the Brooklyn Flea will arrive at South Street Seaport on Memorial Day weekend, with anywhere between five to eight vendors operating at a large food court both during the week and on weekends.
This follows an announcement that Brooklyn Flea is expanding with a Philly location every Sunday starting June 2nd. They will be launching with about 100 vendors at The Piazza in Northern Liberties. The market will be called Brooklyn Flea Philly.
A little closer to home, the LIC Food & Flea will be starting this June and running every weekend in Long Island City.
There will be breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, just blocks from the 7, E, M and G trains, as well as the East River Ferry. Parking will also be available across the street. The nearest address for Google Maps searches is 5-22 46th Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101.
If you want to inquire about being a vendor, call the LIC Flea & Food Market (718) 866-8089 or email [email protected].
