Danny and Coop’s Cheesesteaks is the name of a new food truck that will be operating in New York City. The award-winning actor Bradley Cooper, who was born and raised in Philadelphia, has collaborated with Danny DiGiampietro, the proprietor of Angelo’s Pizzeria, which is located in South Philadelphia. The truck, which made its debut on December 6, 2023, is known for serving genuine Philadelphia cheesesteaks and donating all of the revenues to charitable organizations.

It was Cooper’s connection with DiGiampietro, whom he had met while filming “The Maestro” in Philadelphia, that gave rise to the concept of the food truck. DiGiampietro’s pizza and cheesesteaks left Cooper, who portrayed a master chef in the 2015 film “Burnt,” with a desire to work with him on a project. Cooper played a master chef in the film. As someone who had recently started Angelo’s Pizzeria in 2019, DiGiampietro was excited to collaborate with Cooper and share his enthusiasm for the culinary arts.

at order to offer their cheesesteaks to New York, where Cooper lives and works, the two individuals made the decision to establish a food truck at the West Village location. The food truck, which features the faces of Cooper and DiGiampietro in its logo, provides customers with the option of selecting from two distinct cheesesteaks: one with cheese whiz and one with provolone. All of the ingredients used in the sandwiches are from Philadelphia: fresh bread from Sarcone’s Bakery, ribeye steak from Esposito’s Meats, and cheese from Claudio’s Specialty Foods for the sandwiches.

In addition to providing wonderful cuisine, Cooper and DiGiampietro are generously contributing to the betterment of the neighborhood. Two food organizations, City Harvest, which saves and distributes food to New Yorkers who are in need, and Philabundance, which battles poverty and malnutrition in the Philadelphia area, receive one hundred percent of the proceeds from the truck’s sales. Customers are also welcome to donate non-perishable food items to the truck, which is also accepting donations.
