A cold New York winter is the perfect time to check out a new soup cart.
On the NW corner of 53rd St and Park Ave is the new Herb International Soup Cart, an offshoot of the Herb International Soup Factory in College Point, Queens. It offers 9 soups daily plus a special soup each day. The restaurant got great reviews on Chow and Chowhound. According to Michael, the Midtown Luncher who ran across it, the guy running it was very nice and generous with the samples. He tried a taste of the pumpkin soup the other day, which was “really tasty and more of a savory squash soup than the sweet orange goop you’ d expect”. [Midtown Lunch]
