“PARK HERE” TO FIND SUMMER IN THE CITY

If you’re one of those people who get kind of down during the winter, Tasting Table had an interesting event listed yesterday, and a little more research showed that Eater had something a few weeks earlier on the Park Here pop-up park.

A Nolita gallery called Open House is being turned into an indoor park with a lawn, trees, park benches, forest murals and even SAD light boxes.  An organizer explains, “We’ve curated a unique schedule of events, programming will include yoga in the mornings, open-to-the-public lunches with street vendors selling their delicious cart foods, and then foodie-oriented events like movie nights on the lawn and an UrbanDaddy pop-up dinner series.”

Food vendors such as Luke’s Lobster, Mexicue, Robicelli’s and Sweetery will also be on hand to serve their delicious food.

Park Here is at the Open House Gallery at 201 Mulberry St (between Kenmare & Spring) in Nolita and runs from 11am to 7pm from Jan 8th-30th.

Hey, maybe they can bring in the NY Philharmonic to get that real summer in the park feeling.
