We’re back from holiday and ready to enjoy some great New York Street Food this week. You can too from the vendors to the right and the carts below.
There are a few new trucks listed. Eddie’s Pizza Truck is listed below, and we will be reviewing them later this week. There is also a new promotional ESPN truck that’s down in Bowling Green today, and the Ben & Jerry’s ruck is still around giving out free ice cream.
We were away last week, but if you haven’t heard elsewhere, there is a dire threat to our wonderful NYC food trucks from a new bill being proposed by City Councilwomen Jessica Lappin and Karen Koslowitz. This bill would revoke a food trucks license if they receive 3 parking tickets. This is outright discrimination against one group, as drivers of Fedex, Fresh Direct and other trucks do not lose their business licenses for receiving 3 parking tickets. Please sign the online petition here and go to the websites of Jessica Lappin and Karen Koslowitz to voice your opinion. It will only take 5 minutes of your time, and will help save the food trucks we love.
