Then you’ve got to check out The 6th Annual NYC Hot Sauce Expo, which is set to take place on Saturday, April 21st and Sunday, April 22nd at Brooklyn Expo Center.
This 2-day tribute to all things hot and spicy will feature a “Stage of Doom“, where showcases and competitions will take place throughout each day. These will include: Guinness Book of Records Carolina Reaper Pepper Eating Contest ($1000 Grand Prize For Broken Record), The Booze & Infuse Cocktail Competition ($5000 Grand Prize), Screaming Mi Mi Awards & Hot Sauce Hall of Fame, The Slaytanic Burrito, Chihuahua Beauty Pageant and more. There will also be some delicious food, craft beer and specialty cocktails.

The 2018 Hot Sauce Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is set to take place at 1 PM on the ‘Stage Of Doom‘ on April 21st. Inductees include Si Brown of Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce (Bruce Foods), Dr. Paul Bosland of the Chile Pepper Institute, and Alvin Baumer of Crystal Hot Sauce.
