With the lockdown, travel restriction, fear of the virus, and uncertainty, life was nothing short of a dystopian novel plot. However, now that the vaccination process is going on, and we are slowly getting back some semblance of normalcy, we are filled with relief and renewed energy.

6. Watermelon Margarita

While this watermelon margarita might be a little too thick for a drink with a smoothie-like consistency, this drink is worth a try on a hot sultry summer day. This slushy recipe requires you to freeze some watermelon the night before you make it.

7. Sour Apple Margarita

Apples are often overlooked as a citrus agent in drinks. But this drink will change your mind for sure.

Serving- 4

    •       1/4  cup fine sugar
    •       3/4 cup tequila
    •       3/4 cup sour apple (liquor)

    •       1/2 cup lime juice
    •       2 cups lemon-lime soda
    •       Lime wedges and apple slice

Process

    •         Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher, stir it well
    •         Prepare the glasses with sugar, lime wedges, and apple slices. Put some ice cubes and pour your drink.

The Bottom Line

While margarita requires only three ingredients- tequila, triple sec, and lime juice, there is a myriad of ways that you can add a little spin to this classic cocktail. Add some summer flavors by pairing the drinks with fresh seasonal fruits. If you want a little texture in your drinks, you can substitute the fine sugar with granulated or coarse sugar. However, remember not to use powdered sugar, as they are mixed with starch you might end up with cornstarch in your margarita! I hope you’ll enjoy these margarita recipes!
