On Friday Nuchas tweeted: “Come by for todays Limited Edition Thai Special #Empanadas. Basil Beef & Lemongrass Chicken. YUM.”
How could we pass that up? Answer: we couldn’t, rain and all.
The Thai empanadas were $4 each. Since 2 empanadas isn’t usually enough for us for lunch, we also got a spicy cheese empanada for $3.

Friday, March 1st is National Pig Day, and 6 NYC food trucks will be porking it up with special recipes that include Maker’s Mark® bourbon.

One of the newest food trucks in town in Nuchas Empanadas. We stopped by the truck for a NYSF First Look about 2 weeks ago, and recently went back to try some of the other empanadas on the menu.
The empanadas cost $3 each after tax, and they have a special of 3 empanadas and a drink for $10. That saves you $1, and is exactly what I did.

A few days ago, we alerted you to a new empanada truck called Nuchas. You may or may not have seen their kiosk in Times Square, but there’s no way you’re going to miss this truck. It’s gotta be one of the largest food trucks around.
Another food truck owner told me the Nuchas truck was 31.5 feet long, which is a good 5-6 feet longer than most other food trucks. The roof seems to be a little higher too.
But we didn’t go for the truck, we went for the food! Nuchas has 4 different types of meat empanadas, 3 types of veggie empanadas, and a sweet dessert empanada, along with a few other desserts.
The empanadas cost $3 each after tax, and they have a special of 3 empanadas and a drink for $10. That saves you $1, and is exactly what I did. This gave me a variety to sample as well.

If you’ve been to Times Square, you may have noticed a freestanding kiosk called Nuchas that serves empanadas. We haven’t had a chance to try Nuchas yet, but now we won’t have to go to Times Square, which is a very good thing.
Nuchas recently came out with a food truck, and it debuted at the Prospect Park Food Truck Rally on June 17th.
