It’s a beautiful day, and the Go Burger truck was on 55th by 7th Ave, only a few blocks from my office. Sounds like a good opportunity to try their BCO Dog.
A couple of weeks ago, I really enjoyed a Philly Burger from Go Burger, but I’m actually more of a hot dog/sausage/wurst guy, and the BCO Dog caught my eye last time.
Today’s Lunch is a BCO Dog ($7.50) and vidalia onion rings ($5) from Go Burger.
The Go Burger truck recently got back on the street after taking the winter off, and we caught up to it on Friday. The truck doesn’t have a set schedule or regular parking spots yet, but they seem to be concentrating on the West 50′s.
Last year I tried a delicious Kobe dog,which was topped with spicy mustard, apple cole slaw and pickled jalapenos.
For Friday’s lunch, I wanted to try a burger, and the Philly Burger ($7) looked like a good choice. (Think Philly cheese steak, but on a burger). I also got an order of skinny fries ($3)
New and repeat food truck festivals are taking place this weekend in NYC and Boston.
In an encore performance of a very successful debut, the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market is having another Gourmet Food Truck Bazaar…and Boston is holding it’s 1st Annual Food Truck Festival.
It’s National Burger Day (seriously). Frites ‘N’ Meats and Go Burger both have specials for those in a celebratory mood. See specials and locations below.
For those of you in Hoboken or Jersey City, there is a nice write-up on The Taco Truck, Krave Korean BBQ and a few other food trucks on NJ.com here. We went to The Taco Truck recently for dinner and really enjoyed it. Look for a full write-up next week.
