NYSF Burger Week Day 5: The Double Double from Feed Your Hole

June 22nd, 2012

So far on NYSF Burger Week, we’ve highlighted the great diversity of burgers available on the NYC streets with El Chupacabra, a turkey burger, a “poor man’s” burger, and a vegan gojuchang burger.  If you’ve ever had a Double Double at Feed Your Hole, then you know it’s a great way to finish NYSF Burger Week.

The Double Double at Feed Your Hole is double beef, double cheese and double pickles, and it is the most quintessential American burger of the week.  It costs $8.

STREET EATS: CHEESE DOG & CHILI CHEESE FRIES FROM FEED YOUR HOLE

April 26th, 2012

Feed Your Hole first came out a little over a year ago, but were recently off the street for a couple of months over the winter rebuilding the engine on the truck.  Last week they returned to the street.

With a name like Feed Your Hole, you know the food is going to be in your face.  When you see the truck, that’s yet another sign.  If you like big, sloppy burgers, hot dogs and fries, this is the place for you.

It took a little time to peruse the menu, and I decided to get a Cheese Dog for $3 and chili cheese fries for $5.

TODAY’S LUNCH: DIESEL BURGER (WITH BACON JAM!) FROM FEED YOUR HOLE

December 16th, 2011

Sean from Feed Your Hole is always playing around with his menu, and he came up with a few new things that I wanted to try.

The Diesel Burger sounded good, but what I really wanted to check out was his new invention – bacon jam!

Other new menu items are the Sloppy Nutz Burger (burger topped w/chili & peanut butter) and the Reuben Eggroll (pastrami, sauerkraut & swiss cheese, deep fried).  You can see the current burger menu here and the hot dog menu here.

Today’s Lunch is a Diesel Burger ($8) with bacon jam added, and an order of fries ($3).

TODAY’S LUNCH: SLIDERS FROM FEED YOUR HOLE

November 3rd, 2011

Feed Your Hole haven’t been tweeting much lately because they think it attracts too much attention from the police and other merchants, but they are still around, and pretty popular judging by the number of people around the truck.

There were about 10 people around the truck waiting for their orders, and I must say, it took too long from ordering to receiving lunch.  You could see on everyone’s faces they were kept waiting too long, and there was a lot of grumbling going on.  I know everything is made and cooked fresh, but he needs to get the serving time down.

During the summer, Sean decided to change his burger menu to sliders, and I haven’t gotten to try them all.  Today’s Lunch is 3 sliders from Feed Your Hole.  It costs $5 for one, $8 for two and $10 for three.  I went for the Bourbon Mes, Mini Nut and the aptly-named Syc Fuk.

TODAY’S LUNCH: DOUBLE DOUBLE FROM FEED YOUR HOLE

August 26th, 2011

I keep hearing about Double Double Fridays at Feed Your Hole, and today I finally took the plunge.

The only doubles I’ve had related to street food are Trinidadian doubles, which I had at the Trini-Paki Boys cart, but that has nothing to do with what Sean was serving at Feed Your Hole.

The Double Double at Feed Your Hole is double beef, double cheese and double pickles, which was Today’s Lunch.  It cost $7.
