We recently heard about a “secret” item on the menu at Big D’s Grub Truck. It’s been a while since we’ve visited Dennis (Big D), and now that we’re back from LA, it seemed as good a time as any.

Walking up to the truck, the menu had tacos, grinders and rice bowls. We told Dennis that we had heard about a “secret” menu item and asked what it was, how much it cost, and if it was available.

The answers were a burrito for$6, and yes, it was available. We opted for the spicy chicken and waited for our lunch.

With a chill still in the air, we needed something to warm up our insides for lunch.

It’s been a while since we’ve been to Gobuki. The last time we went there, udon noodle soup was not on the menu, and it’s always fun to try new menu items.

The udon noodle soup at Gobuki, on 52nd Street just west of 6th Ave, cost $7.

After being in Miami last week, we needed something to warm our insides for lunch yesterday. New York can be a cold place, but we still love it!

One of the best ways to warm your insides is with a hot noodle soup. Luckily, Bob & Jo came out with a new winter menu around Thanksgiving, and it includes ramen for $8 or a ramen & mandoo (dumpling) combo.

We decided to get the seafood ramen & mandoo combo for $10.

We’ve been to Korilla a bunch of times, and tried all their meats, but had never tried their tofu.

Given the choice between beef, pork, chicken and tofu, tofu always loses. Let’s not say loses. It has to be patient and wait it’s turn. Today was tofu’s turn at Korilla BBQ, and the chosun bowl cost $7.

Seoul Food may not have been the first Korean food truck in NYC, but since they hit the street a little over a year ago, they have become a stalwart of the scene.

We’ve slowly been working our way down the menu, but never tried their buns and sliders. You can get 2 sliders for $5.95, and a bun for $3.50, which is exactly what we did.
