REMINDER: HESTER ST FAIR & GRUB ST FOOD FESTIVALS THIS WEEKEND

October 21st, 2011

If you’re a serious foodie (and even if you’re not) head down to the Lower East Side for some amazing food this weekend.

The Grub Street Food Festival is on Sunday from 10am-6pm with an unbelievable amount of food vendors.  They just added a beer garden, too.

But if you can’t wait until Sunday, the Hester St Fair is happening on Saturday, also from 10am-6pm.  There are great food vendors there too, like Snap! and Mighty Balls, and it’s also a great place to shop for gifts.

Double your pleasure, double your waistline!

GRUB ST FOOD FESTIVAL RETURNING TO HESTER ST FAIR

October 12th, 2011

One of the highlights of last year’s street festivals was the Grub Street Food Festival – and it’s coming back to the Hester Street Fair on Sunday, October 23rd from 10am-6pm.

There will be another street vendor soireé on the corner of Hester and Essex, in addition to tons of other food vendors.  Admission is free.

The biggest problem last year was the crowds and tight space, so this year they have significantly increased the space.  Hopefully it will be enough to accommodate the greater number of vendors…and attendees.

Click through for the current list of vendors, which is already very impressive – and they expect even more by the time the fair rolls around.

There will also be over 70 vendors selling antiques and vintage fashion, as well as a pop-up section curated by The {NewNew} group–a local collective of independent Etsy artists.

And as always, the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market is free.
