Friday afternoon we found out that we had to be in Massachussetts on the same day as The Great Googa Mooga festival, so we cooked up a quick little contest to give away2 pairs of tickets for Sunday, May 20th.

Congratulations to Melissa Rodriguez, who will be writing a Guest Review for us on the Food Section and Jon Eklund, who will be writing a Guest Review for us on the Drinks Section of The Great Googa Mooga Festival.

Tickets for the Tasting Table 2012 Lobster Roll Rumble go on sale tomorrow at 11am.

There will be 20 different chefs competing from around the US on June 7th in NYC.

Last year, our friends at Luke’s Lobster won the Fan Favorite Award, and Mary’s Fish Camp won the Judge’s Award.

Tickets are $150, which is a bit steep for us, but a portion of the proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength to fight hunger.

Tickets will be available here starting tomorrow at 11am.

 Back in October, we told you about Eat St. asking for video submissions from vendors to be on their program.  The response has been excellent, and now it’s time for you to vote for your favorites.

We received an email from Eat St. telling us about their first ever Vendor Video Contest. Vendors can win a chance to be filmed for an Eat St segment, with a little help from their friends.

Eat St. is encouraging street food vendors to submit a short video of their cart or truck in the Eat St. Video Contest!  Just tell them a little bit about your cart or truck and your food to enter the contest, then let your fans and customers vote your way to glory.

No video equipment? No problem. Take a quick video clip with your phone.  Videos are all about the content, not the video quality.

Mexicue has been running recipe contests every season focused on one seasonal ingredient, from corn to cheddar cheese to butternut squash.  And the winning recipe is put on the Mexicue menu for a while.

The most recent recipe contest was just announced, and it’s…bacon.  Everything tastes better with bacon, so this should be quite a contest.

Below is the Fall Contest winner and their tasty creation – a taco with butternut squash, cilantro lime crema, tortilla strips, spicy slaw and cotija cheese.  Can’t wait to try one!

A little while ago, we told you that in addition to a new store, Mexicue was coming out with a second truck.

In order to differentiate the trucks from each other (and to give us something fun to do), they are holding a contest to name the Mexicue trucks.

The person who comes up with the winning names gets a free taco or slider every day for a year!  That’s a lot of tacos and sliders.
