Today’s fast paced life leads us more and more to turn to tasty and affordable fast food. We often forget, but the more we move away from healthy homemade food – the more we are getting closer to harming our health. Some fast food can do more harm with even small quantities.

What is regarded as fast food? Anything from cheeseburgers, kebabs, Hot Dogs, spring rolls, deluxe potatoes, soft drinks, BBQ, and many more. Fast food is characterized by its lack of nutritional balance, in particular, by the absence of natural products such as fruits and vegetables, and by the excess of fats, sugars and chemical additives. The harmful effects of fast food can be of two forms; Short-term or long-term. The short-term effects may be include lethargy, malaise, anxiety, added weight, etc. We consume these fast foods without realizing the chemical additives or GMOs which our body can’t absorb. As for the long term effects, these are the most dangerous according to most experts, and can include diabetes, cardiac diseases, obesity, depression, hypertension, and even certain cancers such as prostate, pancreas, and other deadly diseases.

Excessive consumption of fast food is one of the main problems of today’s fast paced society. Children, adolescents and adults are likely to consume these unhealthy foods at least once or twice a week, some even much more. One of the biggest dangers for kids is obesity, which can later in life develop into other diseases such as high cholesterol, arthritis, osteoarthritis, heart problems, high triglycerides, thyroid disease, asthma, sleep apnea, and more.

Healthy eating is like a long term investment, in our body and health. the quality of the food we eat is extremely important, so choose natural, whole, organically grown foods free of chemicals that will help you stay healthy and happy.
