TODAY’S LUNCH: BURGER & CURLY FRIES FROM WALL ST BURGERS

2395

I stopped by the fairly new Wall St Burgers truck today to try a burger.  They have been around since mid-June, but have spent a lot of days parked way uptown by the CUNY campus.  They now seem to be coming down to the middle and lower part of Manhattan more frequently.

On our First Look, we enjoyed a salmon burger, but have not had a chance to try a regular cheeseburger.

Today’s Lunch is a Wall St Burger combo ($10) from Wall St Burgers, which includes a cheeseburger, curly fries and a drink.

As for their menu, if you don’t get the combo, a single is $4.50, a double is $6.50, and add $1 more if you want cheese.  Curly fries are $3.50, so a Wall St Burger combo saves you $1 and keeps lunch from exceeding the $10 price point.  You can see their full menu here.

The Wall St Burger comes with American cheese, lettuce, red onions, pickles, tomatoes and WSB sauce.  I wish I could tell you what the WSB sauce was, but there wasn’t enough  on the burger to taste it.

The burger itself was very rare, which was surprising because it was on the thin side.  The burger was wider than most other burgers I’ve had on the street, but thinner.  It tasted good, but I would recommend a double if you have a decent sized appetite.

The curly fries were well-seasoned, with a liberal amount of salt and other seasonings, but not too much.  I liked the curly fries.

Today’s Lunch from Wall St Burgers was ok, but to be honest, I enjoyed the salmon burger more than the regular cheeseburger.  $10 was a bit steep for this lunch, so either the prices need to come down, or the burger needs to be beefed up (pardon the pun).

I would recommend the salmon burger though, which you don’t see anywhere else on the NYC streets.
