Happy New Year to everyone.  There are a couple of big announcements in the street food world today, as two of the most popular food trucks in New York will be opening brick-and-mortar locations in 2011.

We are grateful to Abby, Pavlos and Kosta of Souvlaki GR for letting us be the first one to announce their plans to open a restaurant on the LES, with a projected opening date of March 1st.

Schnitzel & Things also announced via Midtown Lunch they will be opening a place on 3rd Ave between 45-46th St, with a late Feb to early March time frame for opening.  Best of luck to all.
